Artificial intelligence · Upper Rhine · France · Deutschland · Schweiz
Discovering what is being done, understanding what is changing and bringing together those who can move forward together, in Alsace and with our German and Swiss neighbours.
An initiative by Christophe Picou, founder of VEIA.AI, in Colmar.
In the 15th century, Gutenberg carried out part of his research on printing in Strasbourg, before completing it in Mainz. The first great information revolution was already travelling along the Rhine.
Six centuries later, it is in Strasbourg that the European Parliament votes on the European regulation on artificial intelligence, and at the Council of Europe that the first international convention on the subject is drawn up.
In direct contact with Germany and Switzerland, Alsace offers concrete ground for learning between neighbours. One question brings us together: how do we remain who we are in the age of AI?

Each case file starts from a real task, the people who carry it out and the decisions that follow. We separate what the actor announces, what the document establishes and what the investigation makes it possible to observe.
All case files →An AI charter in Strasbourg, clinical trials at the IHU, a pilot in the vineyards, social care professionals trained before being equipped.

Each brief states its date, place and source. What an actor announces remains attributed to that actor.
The whole Wire →The calendar brings together AI events across the Upper Rhine, on both sides of the river. The monthly session in Colmar, led by Christophe Picou, will take its place there.
See the calendar →Artificial intelligence is entering businesses, public administrations, schools and healthcare institutions. Most people discover it on their own. A few kilometres away, others have already tried, succeeded and adjusted. ia3.alsace connects these experiences and the people behind them.
An independent publication, open to contributions from the region. Every text is signed, every source is cited.
Their projects are presented, explained and made accessible.
Experiences in their own profession and environment.
Cross-border exchanges around shared questions.
What is actually being done in the region, documented.
“I created ia3.alsace to make the artificial intelligence experiences of our region visible. In direct contact with Germany and Switzerland, Alsace offers concrete ground for learning between neighbours. I meet those who are experimenting, I explain what they do and I bring together those who can move forward together.”Christophe Picou, founder of VEIA.AI
